Captain America is ready for takeoff
Marvel Studios has shared the first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, unveiling a new look for Sam Wilson as the titular hero.
In the new trailer, Sam is greeted by Harrison Ford's U.S. President Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross, who wants to make Captain America a U.S. government employee once more.
"I believe the future of this country depends on it," Ross tells Sam.
Sam is hesitant at first, but he eventually agrees to work with Ross. The trailer then cuts to a montage of action-packed scenes, as Sam takes on new threats and fights for justice.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of several new characters, including Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, a.k.a. the Falcon; Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, the original Captain America; and Shira Haas as Sabra, an Israeli superhero.
Captain America: Brave New World is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
